I lived in Kathmandu for 8 months and two years ago had taken my husband on a trip there. He is from the USA and I am from SA. It has been my dream to go back and live there. We started a project to collect school supplies and back packs for a school in the valley. I also entered a competition and won a sponsorship to build a water tank for the school. We will be there in Feb for one month. Looking forward to our trip as we hope to this project on an ongoing basis. Hopefully we can meet up there.
BelindaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3704658911492867741.post-16065976716533539552010-11-24T12:36:20.021+05:302010-11-24T12:36:20.021+05:30Sent you an e-mail Kelly, and hope the information...Sent you an e-mail Kelly, and hope the information helps!Brian Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550716842149752526noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3704658911492867741.post-85395909695678055692010-11-24T03:07:07.947+05:302010-11-24T03:07:07.947+05:30How's it going over there now? Is it dog friendly?

misterkel@gmail.comkellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12735451324931199027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3704658911492867741.post-66325383593380229282009-12-19T03:48:01.557+05:302009-12-19T03:48:01.557+05:30Glad to her you aren't freaked out! Kathmandu is an exciting and unique city, and I hear the Himalaya offer a little more verticle hiking than you get there in Florida..heh.Brian Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550716842149752526noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3704658911492867741.post-50247675715697775052009-12-17T04:53:50.478+05:302009-12-17T04:53:50.478+05:30Hi Brain,

If you two are still there in 6 months, I would like to come over and visit, we will see.

It may be hard to believe, but when I first went to europe in the sixties, things were a lot slower, especially in Greece and Italy. Evenings people would come down to the waterfront sidewalks and stroll up and down for two hours! Say hello to friends and neighbors, perhaps have a two or threw hour supper at the open air restaurants. The speeding up of life has some heavy trade offs.

TomLife at ASPEChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16259772842332508616noreply@blogger.com
